Quantum Collision

Quantum Collision is a PC game that I've developed by myself. It was awarded "Best Indepedent Game" at the 2017 Stout Game Expo held at the University of Wisconsin - Stout. The mechanics of the game are simple to learn and challenging to master, leading to hours of fun and varying gameplay with friends. What I really strove to achieve with this game is the visceral feeling of quality gameplay.

In order to achieve this goal, I created every system in the game from scratch, with nothing borrowed from anything else. That includes hard coding movement, camera controls, and making the art myself. I wanted to make hits feel good, so I made them high velocity with plenty of knockback, camera shake, particle effects, vibration, and satisfying sound effects. Therefore, while the game isn't complex in its nature, it feels good to smash into your opponents and knock them off, especially when they can yell at you for it in real life right next to you.

The fast-paced gameplay has been a lot of fun for everyone that has played it, and I encourage you to download it and give it a try. It's a project that I am very close to and proud of.
